PAL Connector
The Belling-Lee connector is commonly used in Europe and Australia to connect coaxial cables to each other. And to terrestrial VHF/UHF rooftop antennas, antenna signal amplifiers, CATV distribution equipment, televisions, and FM and DAB radio receivers. In these countries, it is commonly referred to as the PAL antenna connector, IEC antenna connector, or simply the TV antenna plug. It is one of the oldest coaxial connectors still commonly used in consumer equipment.
For TV signals, the convention is that the source has a male connector and the receiver has a female connector. For FM radio signals, it is customary for the source to have a female connector and the receiver to have a male connector. This is more or less common for TV signals. And is not uncommon for FM radio receivers to deviate from this. Especially from companies in regions that do not use such connectors.
