SSMA Connector

The SSMA connector is essentially a smaller version of the SMA. It was originally designed for use with 0.085 semi-rigid cables. The male contacts are designed to be the same size as the cable conductor. Therefore it can be used as a matching pin for optimized VSWR.
SSMA connectors are available for semi-rigid and ultra-flexible coaxial cables for use over 26 GHz. The series was originally designed for 0.085 semi-rigid, with the male contact having the same diameter as the cable’s center conductor. This allows the cable’s center conductor to be used as a matching pin when needed to optimize VSWR.
SSMA connectors can also be used as panel mount, bulkhead mount, stripped and microstrip interaction, printed circuit board mount, and sealed connectors. This wide selection and the availability of intra-series and inter-series adapters provide users with complete design flexibility.
